SPHS BAND & COLOR GUARD

The South Plantation High School Band, Color Guard, and Orchestra Program is a superior-rated program within Broward County, FL.

The program has a very active marching band, two concert ensembles, a jazz band, a theater pit orchestra, a color guard, and a winter guard.  Students regularly receive superior and excellent ratings at all Florida Bandmaster's Association events, including District and State Concert MPA, Solo and Ensemble, Jazz MPA, and Marching MPA.

In addition, our Winter Guard program actively participates in SFWGA and WGI events throughout the year.  Our students have also been selected to participate in various honor bands such as the All-State Honor Band, Tri-State, Festival of Winds, UM Honor Band, and All-County Band.

By putting up amazing performances in a variety of settings, we have built a reputation of excellence and earned a position of distinction. The talented group follows a long track record of tradition, but their knack for inventiveness and their commitment to respecting tradition while also staying modern and fresh is quite impressive.
