The San Pedro High School Marching Band is an ambassador for the City of San Pedro. We perform at civic functions throughuot the South Bay annually. The band also competes at field tournaments throughout the Los Angeles County.
The current band, under the direction of Paul Purdy, started in 1994 with a membership of 45.In 1995, the band entered only one tournament and earned a third place. Since that time the band has grown in size and quality.This year, we have consistently earned first place honors at the tournaments in which we have entered.

The band is a busy band.Last year it performed in 45 on-campus
and off-campus performances.
Annually it can be seen at the Labor Day Parade in Wilmington, Whale of a
Day celebration in Rancho Palos Verdes, the San Pedro Christmas Parade and the
San Pedro Sportswalk Induction Ceremony.
